The Psychedelic Furs were one of the most innovative and cutting edge bands in all of music from 1980 – 1991. Led by a charismatic singer with a distinctive voice, the furs blended grinding guitars with synthesizers and saxaphones all undergirded with a driving bass and drums.
You get all of that and more in this in this outstanding song – track 4 on the 1982 Forever Now album.
It seems like the Furs should have been even more popular. I’ve theorized with other music afficianados that maybe it was the strange band name that kept some listeners from fully discovering this band. Don’t let that happen to you!
